インド砂糖生産干ばつ低地で減少

Indian sugar output to dip on drought, lower area

 Sugar output in India, the world's largest consumer, could dip more than 20 per cent in the year beginning October due to erratic rains in key sugarcane-growing regions and a drop in crop acreage, traders said on Tuesday.

 世界最大の砂糖消費国インドの砂糖生産は、重要なサトウキビ栽培地域での異常な降雨による収穫面積の減少で、10月から始まる今年の収穫は20%以上の減少となる見込み。
