洪水被害地域、病気飢餓に直面

Flood-hit areas face disease, hunger

　 Patna: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh yesterday warned that millions of people in one of the country's poorest states could face disease and hunger in the wake of the flooding.
　 "The threat of epidemic spreading is real," he told a news conference, ordering a team of government doctors to visit the region.

　パトナ：(インドの)マンモハン・シン首相は、昨日インドでも最も貧しい州で数百万の人々が洪水のため病気と飢餓に直面するかも知れぬと警告した。
　「伝染病蔓延の脅威は現実のものになる。」彼は、記者会見で語り、政府の医療チームをその地域に派遣することを命じた。
