Storms Force British Gas to Use Winter Plan

　Plunging temperatures today forced British Gas into implementing its winter contingency plans.
　The company said it was preparing for a surge in demand as consumers switched on the heat to counter the thermometer falls induced by the wet and windy weather.

　今日の温度変化に対応するため、英国ガスは、冬の緊急対応計画を実施した。
　英国ガスは、雨や風の強い日に起こる温度の下降で消費者が暖房のスイッチを入れるという需要の急激な増大に備えたものだと語った。
